During the last week of October and first week of November I was plein air painting around Mogote, Colorado. This is a sampling of the plein air paintings I completed. All are oil paintings. Sizes range from 6″ X 8″ to 9″ X 12″. These paintings are all done in the San Lou’s Valley. The elevation there is around 7800 feet. At night it was getting cold but warming up to 40 to 50 degrees. It was a great place to paint. This is the area the late Rick Howell lived and painted.
While there I stayed at a rental house called “Casita Estella”. You can Google to find it if you are interested in staying in the area.
